It’s Halloween — a time of morbid celebration for many of us!
But in the world of writing, today also signifies the very last day of sanity for many of our family, friends, and social media followers who write!
National Novel Writing Month is an international writing affair, featuring participants from all around the world. The traditional goal of NaNoWriMo is simple: write 50,000 words in just 30 days. Actually attaining that goal? Maybe not so much…
The Long Stretch
For those of you who are participating, I wish you endless inspiration, nimble fingers, peace of mind, bottomless coffee… and then a smooth recovery! I hope that you’ll complete that novel you start in NaNoWriMo, and then move into the editing phase by 2018.
By the time you make it all the way through to the publishing process, you’ll find yourself in need of book promo and PR services, like the ones we provide at black CATastrophy. I hope you think of us me!
And if you get stuck along the way? You can find plenty of writing prompts here!
Peace of Mind
For the sane ones, who would rather grab some popcorn and watch the madness unfold, join me on Twitter at @ShadowThePRCat. Let’s cheer them on, inspire them, have a few laughs at their expense, and then congratulate their bravery when it’s all over.
For My Human
I would also like to deliver a special dose of good luck to My Human, and the Managing Director at the firm, Alexis Chateau. For years, she stood back and watched the madness of NaNoWriMo unfold on social media. But this year, she decided to suffer along with fellow writers.
I promise, I will be laughing at her the hardest. And who knows? Maybe next year, I’ll want to suffer alongside her, too. ๐ ๐
Good Luck!
